HOW 5G TECHNOLOGY WILL SHAPE THE FUTURE OF SMART HOMES AND IOT
Abstract
The 5G technology offers a revolutionary milestone of the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart home applications. With IoT currently being developed, 5G networks are supposed to overcome most shortcomings of previous forms of wireless communications. The study involves the analysis of 5G on smart homes and IoT ecosystems, which examines its prospective and possibility of improving interconnectivity between devices, latency, and support the smooth interaction of an increasing number of connected devices. This paper looks at the potential high bandwidth, low latency, and reliability of 5G and how it can address the future of smart homes applications like energy management, security, and healthcare by reviewing the latest literature. The paper reviews the existing potentials of IoT technologies, evaluates the obstacles to implementing a 5G approach to smart houses and suggests solutions utilizing AI and machine learning algorithms. The paper ends with the tentative consequences of the 5G technology on future Smart-cities and reaches possible uses of such smart approach to urban planning and environmental monitoring. The work provides accurate guidelines of how the further investigations and application of 5G-powered smart homes will be carried out and that the uniform structure should be established and the security of IoT ecosystems improved.
